This letter is to introduce you to the 7th Annual Howard County Pet Expo to be held June 08, 2007 (rain date
June 15, 2008) at Schooley Mill Park in Howard County! This is a non-profit event with a mission to raise
awareness and educate the public regarding the wonderful, dedicated animal rescue groups in our area. As you
may be aware, these groups are non-profit and operate solely on donations and blood, sweat and tears. They
rescue unwanted, abused, neglected domestic animals and take care of their medical needs, foster them,
rehabilitate, screen meticulously for the right home, and place them in forever homes. The public too often is not
aware that such groups exist or do not know specifically what they do or how to locate them. This event is great
exposure for these groups and gives them an opportunity to educate the public and drum up critical donations to
continue their great work.
This is a high-profile event, heavily advertised in Howard, Mont., Carroll, AA, Balt. and Frederick counties. This
is a community, family event with very large public attendance. There will be several rescue groups attending
and will include dogs, cats, equine and birds. In addition, there will be many pet related and non-pet related
vendors that pay for space to show case their businesses and meet the public. There will be food vendors, a
band, many events and demos scheduled as well as adoptable animals on site. Your company is welcome to do
a presentation if you’d like.
Specifically, we are looking for sponsors for this event. The sponsorship fees will help pay for the cost of the
event (advertising, facility rental, printed programs, care packages for the rescues, etc.). Sponsors for this event
not only provide critical assistance to these wonderful animals in need, but also allow the public to see the
compassionate side of the corporate industry.
Because the event is non-profit, sponsors will receive a letter for tax deduction purposes. In addition, the
sponsors will receive the following:
